• Hi-Fi RUSH, the award-winning and beloved rhythm-based action game where the world syncs to the music from Tango Gameworks/Bethesda Softworks will be coming to PlayStation 5 on March 19 at midnight UTC, with pre-purchase available on PlayStation 5 digital storefronts on February 21.

• Grounded – also from Obsidian Entertainment – a co-op survival adventure phenomenon that has welcomed 20 million players into the backyard, will be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch on April 16. • Sea of Thieves, the shared world adventure game from Rare, will be coming to PlayStation 5 on April 30 – and will be available to wishlist by PlayStation 5 players starting tomorrow, February 22. Having built a passionate community of more than 35 million players from around the world, the support of cross play for Xbox, PlayStation and PC will allow players to experience epic pirate adventures with friends on more platforms.

Aside from being white and all-digital, this new Series X model is also said to feature an improved heatsink and upgraded Nexus socket. With the new white model dropping the disc drive, chances are that Microsoft will sell this new model for a lower price than the current Series X model.

ohja, so welche gerüchte werden wir nun jedes mal und in regelmäßigen abständen zu gesicht bekommen.

abseits davon: immer wenn die gerüchte bezüglich hellblade 2 aufkommen, muss ich an das youtube video von ninja theory von 2018 zurückdenken, welches sie nach der bekanntgabe des aufkaufs veröffentlicht hatten. da haben sie noch extra erwähnt, dass sie die möglichen enttäuschungen ihrer fans nachvollziehen können, da sie sich nun fortan auf microsoft hardware konzentrieren werden, aber sie dennoch hoffen, dass man sie weiterhin auf ihrer reise als studio begleitet. egal auf welcher plattform man ist.

hatte ich ja schon mal erwähnt, als vor paar wochen die ganzen gerüchte um "xbox going third-party" losgingen, aber microsoft hat eben einen großen teil an früheren multiplattform studios aufgekauft, deren ehemalige fanbase nicht nur auf xbox und pc unterwegs waren. gerade hellblade war ja von der ankündigung auf der gamescom 2014, bis zum xbox one release im frühling 2018, die ganze zeit ps4 und pc exklusiv, inklusive mit allem was eben dazugehört. positiv, wie auch negativ... kann mich noch sehr gut an die posts von gewissen personen auf der alten seite und in anderen social media plattformen erinnern, die den titel als weitere "boring third person playstation cinematic walking sim" betitelt hatten, um kurz danach, als der nachfolger exklusiv für eine andere plastikbox angekündigt wurde, feuer und flamme für die ip zu sein. andersrum natürlich genau so.



um wieder zurück zu dem punkt zu kommen... ehemalige multiplattform studios wie ninja theory & co. werden die finanzielle sicherheit (wie sicher sowas ist, sehen wir ja seit den letzten 12 monaten) ihres neuen mutterkonzerns nicht gegen weitere plattformen eintauschen, aber wenn nun die türen für mögliche ports offen sind unter microsoft...? dagegen wird sich niemand wehren und wenn nicht sogar dies intern den higher-ups vorgeschlagen.

Das hat mich, unabhängig von der "Systemzugehörigkeit", eh gewundert. Der erste Teil ist ja von den meisten Spielern eher mäßig aufgenommen worden... ich weiß noch wie begeistert ich war, aber überall lesen musste wie langweilig das ist... ständig Runen... nicht mehr Kämpfe... doofe Stimmen... usw. usw. usw.

Doch bei der Ankündiung des Nachfolges war plötzlich gefühlt das komplette Internet begeistert... Xbox-Fanboys jubeln und hoffen wie immer auf den Messias, Playstation-Jünger weinen... und alle erhoffen sich ein AAA-Action-Feuerwerk vom feinsten. Kein Plan wo das herkam...

Bzgl. Hellblade 2 ist es auch beeindruckend wie still es um das Spiel geworden ist in Sachen Aufmerksamkeit in den Foren seit der Download only-Ankündigung.

Überrascht ja nicht wirklich, und wird wahrscheinlich dem gesamten Xbox-Geschäft zumindest in Sachen PR deutlich schaden.

Bei Hellblade 2 bin ich eh mal gespannt wie das Spiel in der breiten Masse (nachdem es seitens MS ja fast schon als das nächste große Triple A Projekt beworben wurde) letztendlich ankommt. Ich erwarte ja vom Umfang her immer noch eher ein kleineres Spiel wie beim Vorgänger (Eine AA Produktion mit seinen Ecken und Kanten), nur halt jetzt mit modernster Technik, mehr liebe zum Detail und mehr Feinschliff. Ich befürchte die hohe Erwartungshaltung in der Allgemeinheit könnte nach Release, dem an sich mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit tollen Nachfolger, wirklich übel mitspielen. Was wirklich sehr schade, aber irgendwie auch auf Microsofts Mist gewachsen wäre.


Meine persönliche Befürchtung beruht aber eher auf das Thema Imagequality.
Die letzten Trailer sahen schon extrem unscharf und verwaschen aus, so als hätte man Vaseline über den Bildschirm geschmiert.

Ja, das wurde ja von den Entwicklern ja in ihrem letzten Video so gesagt.
Das hat mir echt die Hoffnung gemacht dass ein würdiger Nachfolger von Teil 1 kommt... und nicht irgendein 0815-Action-Titel den sich die meisten wünschen.

Jez Corden of the Xbox Two podcast has claimed that Xbox is working on a new native Xbox handheld.

On the Xbox Two podcast, Corden said, “I know that they’ve [Xbox] have got handheld prototypes right now”. Corden soon clarified that these are “new prototypes” and not the old prototypes often referred to. As pointed out in the podcast, prototypes don’t necessarily mean that new products are coming to market, but Xbox pursuing a handheld isn’t at all surprising.

Corden later said, “no not a cloud handheld, a fully native Xbox handheld.”

With Xbox, I've heard from a very prominent company and one not so prominent that Xbox's performance in Europe is flatlining. You can follow our monthly coverage in the games market and you can see Xbox's sales are falling and it's fell all throughout last year and it's falling even harder this year.

The major company who released a big game last year said they don't know why they bother supporting it. We've mentioned in a previous podcast that retailers are considering or have began cutting back Xbox stock on their shelves, hardware & games... and now you've got third-party publishers going: "We're putting a lot of effort into creating an Xbox Series S/X version of a game where to be honest with you the market for us is PC and PS5"

And with Xbox putting some of the games on PS5, I understand the majority of them will be coming across at some point, assuming, you know, it progresses as Xbox believes it probably will. I think Xbox is in real trouble as a hardware manufacturer. And that was the thing that came out of GDC for me, because I always just thought, I've always been of the belief that it is the Game Pass delivery system, it's got a good UI, it's got a good controller, if you like Xbox games it's probably the best way to play them, etc. I thought it would be fine but then I didn't really factor in that some developers and publishers might just go, yeah I don't, you know, is there any point? And that is when you can lose it.

I was watching Michael Pachter's podcast and he was talking about how it's all about GamePass for Xbox, yet I've actually been hearing that Microsoft's been putting less focus on GamePass.
