ubisoft steht wohl kurz vor dem verkauf.

Tencent Holdings Ltd. and Ubisoft Entertainment SA's founding Guillemot family are considering options including a potential buyout of the French video game developer after it lost more than half its market value this year, according to people familiar with the matter.

The Chinese tech company and Guillemot Brothers Ltd. have been speaking with advisers to help explore ways to stabilize Ubisoft and bolster its value, the people said, asked not to be identified discussing a private matter. One of the possibilities being discussed would involve teaming up to take the company private, according to the people.

Some minority shareholders including AJ Investments have been pushing for either a take-private or a sale of Ubisoft to a strategic investor amid the stock price plunge. Considerations are at an early stage and there's no certainty they will lead to a transaction. Tencent and the Guillemot family are also considering other alternatives, according to the people.

Hmm... ist das jetzt gut oder schlecht? Blick da in den ganzen kauf/verkauf/übernahme Geschichten echt nicht mehr durch.

Aber im Grunde ist eigentlich jede Veränderung bei Ubisoft positiv... die Wege die die die letzten Jahre eingeschlagen haben sind ja schon recht scheiße...

Jahre lang hat man sich gegen eine Übernahme durch Vivendi gewehrt (bis Mai 2024) um jetzt vielleicht ausgerechnet mehrheitlich an Tencent zu gehen...

So lange Phil "Ich definiere Erfolg darüber wen ich aufkaufe!" Spencer nicht seine Finger an UbiSoft legt ist es mir ansich praktisch ... egal. Das würde aber denke ich mal sowieso nach Bethesda und Activision Blizzard kein Kartellamt noch durchgehen lassen. Und Nadella und Co. wollen wahrscheinlich auch erstmal das Geld wieder haben was für den Kauf von Activision Blizzard ausgegeben wurde bevor sie Spencer wieder etwas mehr Spielgeld gewähren.

Mir eigentlich egal wer das kauft oder wohin das wandert... wenn der Käufer den Ubi-Launcher am PC aus dem Weg räumt darf das gern MS oder der Teufel persönlich kaufen.
