The Wii U eShop is closing at the end of March - and that's a shame, given how many great Wii U titles never got a Switch port, or made such good use of the Wii U controller that they just don't translate to other platforms. Oliver Mackenzie highlights the best games worth buying - often at a considerable discount compared to a physical copy - or at least the ones we ought to remember.

Hat hier wer Erfahrungen mit den Platin-Punkten? In MyNintendo hab ich über 600 Punkte, wenn ich in den Store gehe um was einzulösen hab ich nur etwas über 300.
So schaut das dann aus:

There is another, less-glamorous, option. In addition to developing mobile games, DeNA also handles some of the infrastructure regarding Nintendo Accounts services. Nintendo has stated that they will continue to use dedicated Nintendo Accounts moving forward into new console generations, so the new company could just be a way to keep everything in-house.

ein weiteres puzzlestück bezüglich des switch nachfolgers und der veröffentlichung anfang 2024:
As reported by Notebook Check and MoneyDJ, Chinese manufacturer PixArt, which provided the SoC powering the JoyCon sensors as well as other parts for previous Nintendo home consoles such as the Wii and the Wii U, revealed in its latest financial report that a new console from a Japanese company that hasn't launched a new system in years they are supplying parts for will release in early 2024.
While the report from PixArt doesn't mention the new Nintendo Switch outright, it's extremely likely the Chinese manufacturer is indeed talking about the yet-to-be-revealed console, considering it is the only Japanese company that hasn't released a new system in years, something that rules out Sony entirely.

This isn't the first time a Chinese company hinted at an early 2024 release date for the next Nintendo Switch. Hongzhun, a metal cases manufacturer, revealed earlier this month they expect an increase in sales in the second half of the year due to Nintendo planning to release a new console in the first quarter of 2024.

laut einem aktuellen bericht von vgc peilt nintendo einen launch in der zweiten jahreshälfte von 2024 an:

According to multiple people with knowledge of Nintendo’s next-gen console plans, the company is likely to release new hardware during the second half of 2024, to ensure that it has ample stock available on day one and to avoid the kind of shortages seen with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Although specific details on the console are being kept closely guarded, those VGC spoke to indicated that the next-gen console would be able to be used in portable mode, similar to the Nintendo Switch.
Two sources VGC spoke to suggested that the console could launch with an LCD screen, instead of the more premium OLED, in order to bring down costs, especially considering the increased storage needed for higher fidelity games. The current Switch comes with just 32GB of internal memory, while many current-gen PlayStation and Xbox games are over 100GB.

Like its predecessor, the new Nintendo console will also accept physical games via a cartridge slot, the sources said.

Other details, such as backwards compatibility support for Switch games (physical and digital), remains unclear. Nintendo has said it wants to convert as many of Switch’s 100m+ userbase as possible to its next system, although some third-party publishers are said to have expressed concern that legacy support for Switch games could negatively affect sales of next-gen titles.

edit: eurogamer hat das selbe gehört.
Eurogamer sources also expect a launch window in the latter half of 2024 for the next Switch console, which will remain playable in a handheld configuration.
