The Washington Post - 9.5/10
The 'Halo Infinite' campaign is the closest to perfection in 20 years.
Gamespot - 9/10
Halo Infinite transforms the series' two-decade-old formula for the better, giving protagonist Master Chief more characterization and implementing an open world.
IGN - 9/10
Turning us loose to explore a massive open ring with almost complete freedom to approach combat with a wide range of iconic guns, vehicles, and toys has absolutely brought Halo’s single-player campaign back into contention as one of the finest out there (to say nothing of the amazing multiplayer suite), and even though it drops the ball a bit with the story and lack of environmental variety, Infinite picks it back up again with style.
Telegraph- 4/5
The blockbuster shooter goes open-world with mixed results, but its impeccable combat and sumptuous vistas win out.
PC Gamer- 7.8/10
Halo Infinite can't quite deliver on being an open-world throwback, but it's the best shooting the series has seen to date.
