Gut... dann werde ich wohl demnächst meine PS5-Box mal öffnen und das Spiel auf der PS5 mal anspielen... und wenn es mir taugen sollte (und mir einen Zweitkauf wert wäre) leg ich mir das am PC zu und mach dort weiter.

Die ganzen Animation-Shorts sind/waren schon echt super.

Bin trotzdem erstmal noch komplett desinteressiert an dem Patch. Würde sonst gerne das Spiel nochmal fertig machen und alles, aber da sie schon zwei Mal vorher behaupteten, dass der jeweilige Patch "the last one" wäre, und sie jedes Mal das Wort gebrochen haben und die ganze Arbeit umsonst gemacht haben, kann ich da leider wenig drauf geben, wenn die das wieder und wieder betonen. Wird man wohl erst ein bis zwei Jahre warten müssen bis man sich da wirklich sicher sein kann (wie ich es ja leider auch schon bei Cyberpunk auch noch tun muss)...

Endlich habe ich Baldur's Gate 3 beendet. Was für ein Spiel. War es gut? Ja! War es ein Meilenstein? Womöglich! Würde ich es noch mal spielen? Um Gottes Willen. Es war mir zu groß und eingeengt gleichzeitig. Außerdem war es mir zu lang und am Schluss war ich einfach nur froh, als ich durch war.

Trotzdem sollte man es sich spätestens, wenn es mal im PS Plus ist, anschauen. BG 3 ist eine Erfahrung.

In an ongoing Reddit AMA, Larian CEO Swen Vincke was asked if Baldur’s Gate 3 would ever come to the Switch 2, with the fan even asking if it was possible. That’s a fair question. Though it runs on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, it is a very dense game that could cause smoke to come out of your Switch 2’s ports. But from the sound of it, Larian wasn’t allowed to make the call.

“We would have loved to, but it wasn’t our decision to make,” Vincke said in the replies.

This doesn’t mean the dream of a Switch 2 Faerûn campaign is entirely out of the question, though. Wizards could have pinged a third-party partner to do the port work, but I somehow doubt Vincke would have responded to this at all if a Baldur’s Gate 3 Switch 2 edition were actively in the works. Whoever made this call, it’s a dumb one and there’s still time to rectify it.
