Wir wissen schon seit längerem, dass DICE am nächsten Battlefield Ableger arbeitet und dabei wieder in die Richtung der BF3&4 Ära gehen will. 32v32 Maps, altbewährtes Klassensystem, ein bodenständiges Setting in der Gegenwart usw. Peak Battlefield für viele Fans der Reihe. Nun scheinen sie aber auch endlich mehr darüber reden zu wollen, denn Morgen am 3. Februar um 17:00 Uhr sollen die ersten Infos für die Community Playtests online gehen. Mal schauen ob Battlefield 6/2025, oder wie auch immer es heißen mag, dann direkt in einem mit richtigem Bildmaterial angekündigt wird oder wir dafür bis zu den Sommer Showcases warten müssen.



PS: die GDC 2025 im März wäre auch ein guter Zeitpunkt, denn die Titel wurden nicht selten da auch mal gerne enthüllt, wie z.b. eben Teil 3 und 4.

Bei der Szene mit den "Test Gamern" musste ich tatsächlich bissel schmunzeln, hätte mit nem Twist auch ne Szene für ne Black Mirror Parodie sein können.

ea hat mittlerweile bestätigt, dass sie den titel für das nächste geschäftsjahr (ab 1. april 2025 bis 31. märz 2026) anpeilen.

As part of its third quarter earnings results on Tuesday, the publisher said it’s planning to release the next franchise entry before April 2026.

The game has an “expected fiscal year 2026 release” – that’s the 12 month- period starting on April 1, 2025 and running until March 31, 2026.

Battlefield Labs First Playtest Starts This Week

The first Battlefield Labs playtest is set to take place later this week, which will give players the first real insight to the new title.

Insider Gaming has learned that Battlefield Labs will have its first playtest to test “concepts and mechanics” on Friday March 7th. The playtest will be the first in EA’s new Battlefield Labs program, which was announced earlier this year. The first test is scheduled to take place for approximately two hours on the PC.

According to the email sent to participants, the test is in a “closed test environment” and recording, streaming, and and discussions about the game are strictly prohibited. But whether participants stick to such a confidentiality agreement remains to be seen.

hat gestimmt und auf dem battlefield subreddit gibt es nun schon erstes gameplay, wenn auch teilweise in einer fragwürdigen qualität.

Hmm... Zerstörung + die Soldaten schauen aus wie Soldaten und nicht wie Superhero-Specialist-Masterboss.

Das wäre echt schön wenn wieder mal ein "normales" Battlefield kommen würde... so wie Bad Company oder Teil 3. Ohne jeglichen Schnickschnack.

Die Gefahr besteht ja immer, insbesondere wenn es erfolgreich wird, dass nach 6 Monaten doch wieder Clowns-Kostüme rumrennen.
